The members of the small, but vibrant Free State Amateur Radio Club will be fox-like, and go into hiding with 2 meter transmitters, Saturday morning in the Anne Arundel area. No
license required to hunt these animals, although as easy as it is to
have an FCC ticket, it might help. Friends and family welcome too! The
only qualification or charge is to have fun safely and have your start
odometer recorded. Start: 9:A.M, Saturday, May 10
Location: Anne Arundel County. Pasadena Crossroads Shopping Center Rt
2, Just South of Rt 100, Turn toward Southwest on Jumpers Hole Rd
to entrance. (Jumpers Mall) by the abandoned Taco Bell
Borders: Anne Arundel County. Broadneck area. North of Annapolis, East of Rt 97, South of Magothy river, and
North of Severn River.
First hunt end: Shortly after heavy hinting and clues are revealed around 11A.M. on the fox's frequency, and
possibly the WA3DZD repeater too.
2nd hunt details: At first foxes lair.
2 meter frequency of first hunt: Probably 146.46 MHz
Announcements: Several times on the hour the Friday night before, and
Saturday Morning on 146.76, 224.76, and 444.0 MHz WA3DZD repeater
(107.2 Hz PL most inputs) 146.835 Goddard, back-up.
Winners: Winning mobile team certificates will be determined by lowest elapsed mileage: 1st prize Doppler, and 1st, 2nd, 3rd
prize all other types of hunting tools.
The first hunters to arrive at the foxes' emitter at the 2nd hunt will be
certified winners. We hope to give all participating teams certificates.

The Maryland Mobileers meet at the Henry L. Hein Public Service Building, which is located at 7480 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd. in Glen Burnie, MD. The Henry Hein Building houses the state of the art Anne Arundel County Emergency Operations Center, several county government offices, as well as a public auditorium. The building was formerly the Crown Movie Theather and is near the intersection of MD Rt 2 and MD Rt 648 in downtown Glen Burnie. The Maryland Mobileers typically meet on the first Friday of the month.
